On a nice winter day, many people were spending their free time on spectacular Tauro Hill with their children. This hill is located in the centre of the city where many impressive pictures of the city skyline can be seen. At weekend this hill is occupied by young people sledging down the slope and having fun. Open-air Ice Rink in the Town Hall Square

One of the Highlights of the Vilnius - European Capital of Culture 2009 opening events. The Ice Rink was solemnly opened on the evening of January 1, 2009 with a spectacular performance by world-wide known figure skating stars M. Drobiazko and P. Vanagas. The ice rink will be open to all people every day through all January. Special events on ice are also planned for weekends of January.
